We’re in the middle of a rough business season. Many businesses are struggling.

What to do?

It’s a good time to stick together. Take care of your best customers. Take good care of your employees. Take care of your suppliers. Don’t get “heavy handed” with anyone. Now’s not the time to apply pressure.

If you can help a customer or a vendor, do so. This a great time to buy goodwill.

Need exposure? If you’re not up to speed on Google’s AdWords, get there. You can get a lot of advertising for a few dollars per day.

Look around the community. If you can volunteer for something, do so. Speak at a school. Offer to speak at a service club.

You could write an article for your local paper about surviving recession.

Clean up your business. Get rid of “spare” stuff. Giving away older computers or office furniture could really help a struggling non-profit. Need revenue? Sell off your surplus ‘stuff’ on Ebay. Clean house and get ready for things to turn around. They will. Soon.
