First.

Sorry I have not posted for a while. I have been extremely BIZZY. That’s the goal, right? So I just haven’t had the time to post something worth reading. That is my tip.

If you blog, don’t post just to post. Have something of value to say. If you can’t think of anything or you are too busy, don’t post anything.

When you do post, make sure your reader can understand what the hell you are trying to say. Don’t try to sound like you’re presenting at a 19th century scientific conference on disorders of the brain. Just say it.

I learned a lesson over these past few weeks.

I have really struggled with building quality traffic for a very important client. I tried “everything”. I changed their website 100 times in the past month. Big dud.

So this week I searched the depths of my soul. What’s wrong with this site? Then I tore the whole thing down and rebuilt a VERY SIMPLE site. It’s clear. It’s simple. It’s plain English.

BAM! Traffic up! Time on site up! Bounce rate DOWN. YAY!

Take away: If you don’t have something to say that matters, shut up. When you speak, keep it understandable—simple. Let go of words. I teach this all the time and I forget to do it myself.

Go get ’em!
